Bread and Cookies….

Here's a couple recipes I made today. I had a bunch of sour cream I needed to use up and these recipes both have a good amount in it. Enjoy!

Banana Bread (adapted from KraftFoods)

1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
3 mashed ripe bananas
1 c. sour cream
2 eggs
2 1/4c. flour
1 1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
Heat oven to 350F. Mix all ingredients well, so no dry flour remains. Grease a loaf pan and sprinkle cinnamon and large sugar crystals on the bottom(I use raw demerra sugar). Pour batter in and sprinkle more cinnamon and sugar on the top. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Soft Sugar Cookies(my own special recipe)
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 t. vanilla
2 1/2c. flour
1/2 t. salt
1/2 c. sour cream
Mix all ingredients together. Roll out dough on a well floured surface and cut into shapes. Bake at 400F for 10 mins or until slightly brown around edges. These cookies are very soft and taste great plain or with frosting!
