  1. Any idea how to make this without the buttermilk? We have milk allergies in the kids and they can’t eat it at all. Thanks.

      1. Suggestion, There’s other ‘milk’ substitutes, such as almond, coconut, goat in powder forms. I think you can do that by adding liquid to the mix when you’re ready to cook.

  2. Thanks! I made mine today. Can’t wait to try it. This will also come in handy for when I go in to have the baby. My Mom is coming to stay at my house to watch my 3 children and this should make breakfast a bit easier on her 🙂

  3. I was just woundering how long the shelf life is? I saw
another one that you could use powered eggs too easier for
    camping

  4. I’m loving your website and facebook page! I’m also wondering if you can make this gluten free by changing the flour? Thanks 🙂

  5. This sounds great and I will try it!! If you used whole wheat flour, would you use that totally, or mix it with regular flour?

  6. Sounds wonderful. Can’t wait to try it. Just having trouble finding the buttermilk powder locally.

  7. Hi! Thanks for this recipe, I have tried many different mixes, and when this one was made, the children loved it! I also use your bread mix, my son said that we almost make all our bread, now we need to make a bigger loaf so we don’t have to make bread every day! Thank you for all the work you do on this site, it is much appreciated!

  8. It’s funny, for the last couple months I’ve been looking up quite a few recipes and how-to’s usually from pinterest.. I keep ending up back at YOUR blog! I love it. I’m thinking I should just come here first. 🙂

  9. Is the flour in the recipe same with all purpose flour? Also can I substitute regular powdered milk with the buttermilk powder? Thanks

    1. Yes, this recipe uses all purpose flour and I think buttermilk powder *should* work in the recipe but I have not personally tried it.

  10. If I wanted to use powdered eggs for traveling how much would I add to the recipe? Can’t wait to try this ♡♡
