Thank you for the link-up!
We’ve recently stopped using all margarine product and switched to using butter. The reason for this is dietary– trying to remove as many processed foods & chemicals from our diet as possible. Let me tell you that I’ve been able to drop about 4 poudns in 2 weeks– simply by ridding as many of these foods as possible and sticking to the natural, raw foods. Even the canned goods on the shelves that claim to be organic are not always without chemicals/processing, etc.
Back to that butter… the only ingredients in the regular unsalted butter is sweet cream. even in the whipped LOL butter, it is sweet cream & salt.
for friends that are on special diets and MUST have the olivio spread… ummm… yeah, the chemicals in those? hello? the caloric content and fat content of regular butter to olivio is very close.

just wanted to add… (my computer sent this message, and I wasn’t done!)
I also determined that I can use 2 tbs of butter and have the same amount of (melted product) that I have when I melt 6 tablespoons of margarine. hmmmm…

Michelle, We also only use real butter and we don’t eat any processed foods/or foods with preservatives. I wrote a few posts on it and you can find the links to them all here:

We too have switched from using all margarine products to butter. I recently told someone about this and they said “oh your cholesterol will go way up.” Well I did research and actually transfat and other fats which are present in margarine increase your cholesterol much more than butter. I know you can purchase spreads with Olive Oil in but does anyone know if these are processed too? We are solely butter users :-)
