Healthy Breakfast Smoothies

I love a good smoothie for breakfast or a snack. Sometimes even lunch if I need something on the go! Smoothies are great because I’m not the best at getting my fruit in with my regular meals so smoothies make it easy! With this list of Healthy Breakfast Smoothies, we should be able to find some inspiration for our next meal or snack.

Updated! This list now has 30+ amazing smoothies that you need to try and we are adding more as we find them. Make sure to comment with your favorite one!squooshi

Smoothies for Kids

Smoothies are great because they are so quick to make and you get a great healthy dose of fruits and/or veggies in each glass. I love the whole idea behind them. I even make them for my littles and stick them in these Reusable Snack Pouches for a quick treat on the go. I also like to make them and then freeze them in those pouches for him for later. I just throw in the fridge in the morning or the evening before to thaw. They are a lifesaver for a quick snack for those of us with allergy kids!

Quick Smoothie Making Tips

  • You can also make some easy to make smoothies for yourself. Simply freeze all the ingredients in a bag together. Even the milk! Then when you are ready to make your smoothie, just thaw the bag of ingredients slightly and toss the entire thing (minus the plastic bag!) into the blender. This is a super quick way to make a healthy breakfast on the go.
  • You can take these pre-made smoothie bags along on a road trip in a cooler along with a small blender like the Magic Bullet to have fast and healthy snacks on your trip.
  • Add some oats or protein powder for an extra dose of protein in your breakfast. I like to use Vital Proteins.
  • I have this Blendtec Total Blender. I love the 8-year warranty and it works so well!

  1. I love this breakfast-smoothie;
    1 dl pineapple juice
    2 dl cultured milk/ rice milk/soy milk
    1/2 banana
    150 grams frozen broccoli
1 egg yolk or 1/2 avocado
add vanilla or water according to taste

It keeps me going for hours.

  5. Okay so bear with me here because I never measure, but these are two of our family’s favorite smoothies:

    Cherry-Vanilla-Almond & Apple Banana Cinnamon

In the Cherry smoothie I grind almonds, but you could use almond butter too (I’ve done both, but almond butter is more expensive than a large bag of almonds around here and we like to snack on the raw almonds too), use frozen cherries & vanilla greek yogurt. Sweeten with a bit of honey or agave nectar. I might even through in a banana for a filler and texture (I have to make smoothies for four people and the bananas definitely make it go further). I also may add a little bit of vanilla extract if I want more vanilla flavor. Sometimes we add ground flax seed which enhances the nutty flavor.

In the apple one I have to freeze sliced apples and yogurt cubes. I use red delicious apples, frozen vanilla greek yogurt, bananas and lots and lots of cinnamon. this one generally doesn’t need a sweetener because the apples are very sweet. One time we even added frozen pumpkin cubes to it and my kids and husband thought it was awesome!

I’ll be marking this page to come back to for more smoothie ideas. My husband and I enjoy smoothies for breakfast, while the kids prefer their smoothies to be stored in the fridge to enjoy as an after school snack.

  6. I love smoothies and I will have to give these a try. But when the weather turns cold, cold is not what I want to drink. I wonder if anyone has any healthy warm drinks?
