Brown Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookies

I will start by saying I’m not 100% happy with these cookies yet, but nevertheless they are yummy. Call this recipe a work in progress. 🙂

What you need:

  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 t. baking soda
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 c. melted butter
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 t. vanilla
  • 1 c. chocolate chips

Mix all the ingredients together. The mixture should be crumbly.

Form into balls and put on a cookie sheet. I tried to do this with my muffin scooper but the mixture was a little too dry. So I formed them into balls instead. Then bake them at 375F for about 5 minutes, flatten with a spatula. Then bake about another 8-10 minutes. Let them cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes and then transfer them to a wire rack to cool.

I will update this post as I work on this recipe!

  1. I love how it looks. It really looks that it will burst some chocolate. LOL. My grandmother too adds some sour cream in her recipe. I don’t think what the sour cream is for.
