Chocolate Chip Muffins Recipe
I am just not always a fruit in a muffin type person….
Sure I’ll eat the occasional Banana Muffin, but otherwise…just not a big fan. I don’t mind putting fruit on my muffins like a good jam or butter. I’m not sure what my problem is.
Lucky for you the lack of fruit in my muffins spurs me to create recipes like this one that’s about to follow. You’re welcome.
Chocolate Chip Muffins
What You Need:
- 2 c. flour
- 2 t. baking powder
- 1/3 c. sugar (if you use turbinado make sure it’s been ground fine)
- 1/2 stick of butter, slightly softened
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 2 eggs
- 1 t. vanilla
Mix together the dry ingredients.
Then add in all the other ingredients. Mix in the chocolate chips last.
Drop by tablespoons full into a greased or lined muffin pan. Bake at 400F for about 18 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Enjoy! These also freeze well. 🙂
Found these in a search for chocolate chip muffins on Pinterest. Love your site and YouTube channel! So glad to have found you. You are an asset to a mom trying to do whole foods on a budget. 🙂
Hi, found you on Pinterest. These look great, but I was wondering if the recipe yields 12 or 24?
This recipe will make 12 muffins.
Is the butter 1/2 Cup or half a stick and 1/4?
1/2 stick of butter or 1/4 cup of butter
Yummy! I made these but instead of chocolate chips I used cinnamon chips! I made mini muffins and they were PERFECT! Good little snack for little mouths! Thanks.
Yum! Nice substitution, thanks for sharing!
does 1 chocolate chips mean 1 bag or 1 cup?
It’s one cup, sorry about that I will fix it in the post! 🙂
I just made these and they taste more like pancakes than muffins. Why are they like this? Is this how they are supposed to be? Either way, they are still delicious!
They’ve always tasted like muffins when we’ve made them…did you use any different ingredients or flours?
I used all purpose flour, and all the ingredients were the same. Maybe my butter wasn’t softened enough, could that be the problem?
Mine did too! I think I may have over baked them?! I made smaller muffins (24) and baked 18 min. Next time I’ll check them earlier. Still yummy though;)
Hi I was just wondering is it 2 teaspoons or tablespoons
Lowercase t = teaspoons and capital T = Tablespoons.
The things I did different was use 1/2 skim milk, 1/2 half n half. I used 1 t baking soda and 1 t baking powder. I also sprinkled the tops before baking with sugar & cinnamon. Not a real moist muffin but good.
