I just wanted to check in and see how you all are doing collecting items for Couponing for Community and National Stamp Our Hunger Day!
If you missed my first post about Couponing for Community, make sure you check it out and get up to speed! We only have about 3 weeks to go before the big day so it’s a good idea to start collecting things now!
I’ve decided to make my goal to donate at least 100 items that week. I will be leaving food for the postal worker to pick up on Stamp Our Hunger Day and I will be donating women’s products to WAVI, and health and beauty products to the Black Hills Children’s Home.
Make sure you take a picture of your donation before you drop it off. It would be amazing to see a huge post full of pictures of donations so we can see the impact our little blog community can make! I also want to challenge you to set a goal of items to donate. Maybe you think you can swing 200, or maybe 50 is more realistic for you. I’m sure a donation of even 1 item would be appreciated!
Let us know how things are going, leave a comment!
I think this focus on giving is great! I want to give my donations to a particular local mission so I probably won’t participate in the Stamp Out Hunger Day, but it’s motivating me to segregate some donation items from the rest of my stockpile!
Thats awesome! I don’t think it really matters so much who we donate too, just the donating. 🙂 Usually instead of donating to a non-profit I donate to a family that I know has a need. There are so many forms of donating and it’s just great that we have the ability to be involved!
