Easy Sewing Projects

I love to sew!

I bought my sewing machine using gift cards we received from our wedding. As a new wife, I thought it was time to invest in a machine. Plus, if you have ever read my blog, you know that I like to do crafts. So a new hobby seemed suitable.

That being said, I am not a very experienced, or even a very good, sew-er. I am always looking for an easy sewing projects that I can attempt and complete. If a pin on Pinterest said “easy sewing project” you bet you could find it on my board. Maybe one day I will get more experienced and more talented at sewing, but for now, I will stick with the easy stuff.

Here is a list of some easy sewing projects. These are best suited for beginners.

Also, make sure to learn how sewing can save your budget. (But make sure sewing is really worth it first!)

Here are many more crafts and homemade gifts to check out!

Feel free to share you favorite easy sewing projects below! I would love to get some more ideas.

  1. I am LOVING this post. I just dug out my old sewing machine my grandmother got me way back when I was in high school. I had my friend come over and re-show me how to use it real quick. It was kinda like riding a bike for me! I’ve already made a skirt and a dress for my little girl. Many, many more projects planned. YAY for sewing, haha 🙂

  2. You site has been so helpful.. I have been struggling as a beginner homesteader, but the projects on your site are simple but useful.Living in Florida I am able to line dry clothes all year, so I made 4 of your blue jean pocket clothespin holders so that I have clothespis at each end of 4 20 foot lines…keep blogging I’ll keep reading

  3. I used tea bags I’d made, and coffee bags, out of muslin for a while. Then I made some out of organza (usually silk, sometimes synthetic). Worked much better because the silk didn’t absorb oil as much as the muslin. They are easier to clean and dry much faster.
