Here is a question from Michelle:
Do you know of an inexpensive printer?
I have been going through printer ink like crazy, and although the coupons are saving my tons of $$ my HP ink jet printer is costing me about $22.00 refill to $45.00 new a month to 5 weeks
I’m not sure of an exact printer that will save you money but I do have a couple tips for saving money while printing coupons.
- First: I print everything in black and white. I can easily switch back to color printing if I need to but it doesn’t matter if coupons are printed in color or in black and white. So printing it in b&w means I only have to purchase black ink.
- Second: I print on both sides of the paper. If I print just a single coupon that prints at the top of the page all I do is flip the paper over and upside down and stick it back in the printer so next time it will print on the opposite side.
- Third: When I’m out of paper I print on anything I can find. As long as the side you are printing the coupon on it blank the other side can have whatever on it.
- Fourth: To save even more on ink I signed up for the Office Depot newsletter HERE. Every so once in a while they send out a coupon for $10 off $20. I have a Brother printer and black ink is $25. So after the $10 coupon I only have to pay $15 for ink! I know some exclusions apply on the coupon and I’m not sure that you can use it for HP ink.
