After running the Frugal Tuesday’s series for the last couple months I realized that most of the questions that I received were the same. You wanted to know how to stretch your dollars even further. You’ve done the basics, cut the cable, stopped eating out, ect. But you still want to save more money. After days and days of research (ask my hubby, I was glued to the computer!) I was frusterated with the “Thrifty Living” tips that I was finding. Most were boring, and things you’ve already done (ie: Cut the cable), some were just plain silly (ie: Sell your car. Um…I live 15 miles from town…), and many were just ridiculous (ie: Live in your car and sell your house) I couldn’t find a list of good, fairly simple things that we can do on a daily basis that will save us money. Sure I found a few tidbits here and there but they were far and few between. So I took my frustration and came up with my own frugal living tips. Some you may already do, some may be harder to do than others but I think the list I cam up with is something we can all try and incorporate into our daily lives. Nothing is “extreme” all is very doable.(I think anyways!)
So here’s the challenge:
Each Monday I will post 2 or 3 things that we can incorporate into our daily routine that will make our lives a little more frugal. Based on the theory that says if you do something 7 days in a row it will become a habit, we will work on doing these 2 or 3 things for a week, and hopefully by the end of that week, it will become a habit! Then the next Monday we will have 2 or 3 more things to work into. I challenge all my readers to follow this series with me! Sound like a plan? I’m excited to start this series because I’m challenging me and my hubby as well, these are all things that we aren’t currently doing so it will help make us more thrifty as well!
