Homemade Ready to Bake Cookie Dough

I love to have a nice plate of warm cookies on hand when guests come over. However, I don’t like having to whip up a batch all the time. Freezing pre-made cookie dough is so easy and you can just take out one tray full at a time to make if you need to! Here’s all you have to do:
Make up a batch of cookie dough. Most kinds should freeze just fine. For my frozen cookie dough pictured above I made Mom’s Chocolate Chip Cookies.
On a cookie tray, drop your dough by teaspoon or tablespoon full. It helps to cover the tray with wax paper before you do this so they are easier to remove later.
Pop the tray into the freezer and let the dough flash freeze until the cookie dough balls are hardened.
Drop into a freezer container or freezer bag until ready to bake.
Once ready to bake just pop the dough balls into the oven and bake as usual (or just a few minutes longer if the balls are still fully frozen).
This makes it so easy to have a warm treat whenever you feel like it!

I’m totally going to do this (and share it with my mom who keeps giving my kids those yucky “canned” pre-measured cookies.) Thanks!
*pinning* I’ve been wanting to have a cookie recipe and now I can have them frozen and on the ready!
I’ve been freezing this cookie dough, too, but not like this! I’ll have to try thisway next time maybe! Love this recipe! It is so good, and it’s easy!
Do you think you could freeze this in a log or only as drop cookies?
I’ve actually done it both ways! https://www.littlehouseliving.com/slice-and-bake-sugar-cookies.html The slice and bake ones are a little more work because you have to thaw it a bit before you can slice.
This is a wonderful idea which I have to do. I would love to share this further. Would you link it to Bake with Bizzy? Thanks for considering it.
