I’m one of those weird people that actually likes to clean. I could sit here and swiffer my floors all day long and I’d be happy. One thing that I don’t particularly like to clean, however, is the shower. I live in a rural area and we have a community well. Fortunately, our water isn’t too full of minerals that it builds up fast like most well water. To clean my shower I like to have that spray daily shower cleaner on hand. I got a great deal on it a while ago but I ran out a few weeks ago. I ran out to the store to get another bottle and I discovered that the kind I liked was over $5 a bottle! I decided that I needed to make my own homemade version despite my husband urging just to “buy a bottle and not have to deal with it.” I looked up several different recipes and I ended up going with the following. It’s decently cheap, smells nice, and it works well.
Daily Shower Cleaner
1/3 bottle of Cascade or a similar rinse agent
I just reused the bottle that my other shower cleaner was in. I poured about 1/3 of the little bottle of Cascade into the spray bottle(you could probably get away with using less) then I filled it the rest of the way with water. That’s it! I got a few bottles of Cascade for free for the Homemade Simple Coupon Mailer HERE. I recently received another mailer but the free coupon wasn’t in it. There was a coupon for .50 of a bottle of Cascade but you could probably get a bottle of the store brand for cheaper.
