Hi; I’m still pretty new to canning. I recently tried canning cabbage (kraut). I found a recipe that basically is yours; vinegar&water&salt. The jars have been sitting in with all the other canned food for a good while. I pulled one out to try it and yes it tasted like good kraut, and the forkful I ate didn’t kill me; however some of the cabbage pieces had a pink hue to them. I’m concerned that they are not “good”. If they are still edible, any idea how I keep that hue out? – J
