I recently got a box of goodies from the Redmond Trading Company with several items from their line of products to try. I have been a consumer of their Redmond Real Salt for several years, so I was excited to branch out and see what else they have to offer. I had no idea that they offered several different products, beside the salt.
As luck would have it (or not!!), I had reason to give The Healing Clay a try. I was in my garden when I was viciously attacked by 3 wasps. I had 3 stings within a few short seconds! YES….I was running for cover and as I was trying to escape, my arm, shoulder, and neck area started stinging. I knew I had been stung, not once, but all three places. As I got to the house I was trying to think of the natural remedies I could use. DING! DING! My brain was at work, telling me to look through the box of products and see if I could use something. YES!….clay, as a poultice!
So, I proceeded to make up a thick gel with the clay and apply it. Oh, it felt so good. It was so cooling to the area. I made the gel by mixing the clay with water to get a gel like consistency. I applied it to the areas and left it on to dry. It definitely cooled the area and made it less inflamed and itchy. I tried to get before and after pictures, so you could see. I hope you can, but I am a believer in the Healing Clay. Within two days of getting stung and applying the clay, it was almost unnoticeable. I did re-apply the gel the following day, also. It was such a cooling, healing feeling that it gave the area.
Definitely a natural remedy that I want to keep in my cabinet. This is also just one example of the use of this amazing clay. You can read more about the actual clay and this and other products at www.redmondclay.com.
They also carry a Facial Mud that comes in a tube, already mixed up and ready to apply. I do have to say that on the second day of having the wasp bite, I did use this. It is called facial mud, but is simply the mixed up gel, ready to go. I found it very easy to use, in place of mixing up the actual clay with water. It would make an awesome mask to use on the face, also, as it is intended!
Another product that I got a chance to try is the Redmond Bath Salt. This is a keeper for me. I have been doing detox baths using epsom salt and baking soda for the last several months. I was anxious to try this Bath Salt in place of that. I really like it and will be adding it to my routine. Sometimes I don’t always have the time to take a full blown, relaxing tub bath. I used the Redmond Bath Salt in my foot soak. It was wonderful. It helped to soften my summer feet and I could feel it detoxing my entire system, through my feet. I always knew that you could pull impurities from foot baths, but this stuff was great. I could actually feel the tingling of it detoxing as my foot soak went on.
I really like the natural, unrefined products that Redmond Trading Company carries. It is hard to find natural, effective products with minimal ingredients and an abundance to minerals that help restore good health. Keep reading for a great giveaway from Redmond!
