There’s nothing like a delicious cream cheese frosting. Creamy, rich, decadent, with that tangy bite that makes sweet treats sing. Forget buttercream; I use cream cheese frosting for almost every kind of pastry, and this is the best cream cheese frosting recipe that you can find. From the obvious, like German Chocolate Cake and Red Velvet Cake, to the not-so-obvious, like sugar cookies and blondies, cream cheese frosting is SO yummy.

Thankfully, it couldn’t be easier to make. Just four ingredients and a little elbow grease (or a mixer), and you have the best frosting you’ll ever try.

  10. I am disappointed that there’s nothing but Cream Cheese Frosting. I searched twice for Butter Cream Frosting and both came back with this Cream Cheese Frosting only as it’s the one you prefer. Why bother listing Butter Cream Frosting?!

  11. When you say whipped cream cheese, are you using the expensive kind in the tub, or are you whipping the block cream cheese yourself?
