Here is another list of more things that I never buy or pay for to save us money. I’d love to hear some comments on what you don’t buy to save you money also!
- Haircuts for my hubby. No, I’ve never gone to beauty school but I do know how to give my hubby a good hair cut. Where we were going before it cost $12 plus tip to get his hair cut and it looked so simple! So we invested $20 in a nice razor and I’ve been cutting his hair for the last few years. It doesn’t take alot of skill(unless your hubby wants a really fancy style, which still couldn’t be that hard) And I know that almost anyone could do it because my husband is SO picky about his hair cuts and he thinks I do a pretty good job:)
- Wet pet food. Unless your pet has eating issues I don’t think there is any need to feed them wet food. I feed all my cats and my dog dry food and they don’t seem to have any issues! I do have a special recipe to get kittens back to health.
- Multiple newspapers. I only buy one newspaper on Sunday no matter how good the coupons are. Chances are I’m not going to use multiples of every single coupon in the paper so I’m wasting money on those when there are only a few that I really want. Instead if I want multiplies I will go through a coupon slipping company like The Coupon Clippers or Kuntry Klippers.
- Hot cocoa. The things they put in commercial hot chocolate scare me so I make my own. Recipes to come next month.
