Fresh Spinach Recipes
Over the nxet few months we are going to be all about using our garden veggies in new and fun ways! Along with over a dozen other blogs we are going to be sharing great new recipes and tips on using your fresh garden vegetables.
Today it’s all about spinach and fresh spinach recipes! As you already know, spinach is a pretty easy plant to grow but packs a nutrient powerhouse! You can use it in everything from salads to dips.
Today you can catch a great fresh spinach recipe for a Bacon and Mushroom Fresh Spinach Saute over on A Frugal Chick’s blog. Doesn’t that look delicious?
Salad is a great way to use spinach since it’s nice and easy. You could mi your spinach with other garden greens or just enjoy plain spinach. Spinach salads are especially good with various fruit or fruit based dressings used on top since the leaves tend to be slightly sweeter and thicker than regular lettuce. I also love to top a good spinach salad with something like Homemade Russian Dressing or Homemade Dorthy Lynch Dressing.
Spinach is also great in homemade skincare! Here’s how to make an easy Spinach Scrub:
What You Need:
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Spinach Leaves
- 1 Tablespoon Oil (Olive or Coconut)
- 5 drops Peppermint Essential Oil (Where to Buy)
Mix all the ingredients together in the blender and pulse until combined. You may need to add a bit of water if you are having trouble with it being moist enough. Scrub onto skin, leave on for a few minutes, and rinse off!
