We are beginning to get dangerously close to winter now aren’t we? October is a wonderful month for finishing up any outdoor harvests and getting any remaining produce canned up or frozen. It’s the perfect month to pull out the kids’ winter clothes and pack away the summer clothes and if you are like me…it’s a great time to start watching for deals for Christmas presents or to begin making them if you make handmade gifts.

  1. I believe October is my favorite month. It’s usually cooler and a nice reprieve before winter sets in here in Kentucky. Thanks for all the good recipe suggestions using the fall crops.
