Chicken and Cheese Queso Recipe

Ingredients

  • Chicken Breasts

For the Queso Sauce

  • 1 cup Milk
  • 3 Tablespoons Cream Cheese
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup Salsa or make some up quickly by dicing 2 large tomatoes and mixing with a bit of salt, dried onion, and garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. First Cook your chicken (or you can use precooked chicken). Toss a few chicken breasts in the slow cooker with some water in the morning and cook on high all day. They will be done by dinner time.
  2. Remove your chicken from the slowcooker and cover with queso sauce. Serve on top of Rice.

To make the Queso Sauce:

  1. On the stovetop, whisk together the milk, cream cheese, and cheddar cheese in a saucepan.
  2. Add in the salt and stir together over low heat until the mixture becomes creamy and bubbly.
  3. Add in the salsa and cook for a bit longer until the entire mixture is heated through.
