Homemade Gummies

  • 4 Tablespoons unflavored gelatin *See my note below*
  • 1 cup fruit juice

  1. Combine the gelatin with the juice and let it "bloom" while the juice is still cold.
  2. Place the mixture on the stovetop and mix the ingredients together. Make sure all the ingredients are mixed together well and there are no lumps.
  3. Put it on a saucepan on the stove and warm until melted begin careful not to burn it and stirring frequently.
  4. When it's melted, pour it into the molds, containers, or whatever you have.  Let it sit in the freezer or fridge for 10 minutes. Peel the gummies off the molds after you take them back out of the fridge.

Recipe Notes

*A note on the gelatin... We've tried several different kinds over the years and our favorites are the Great Lakes Gelatin and Vital Proteins Gelatin. Great Lakes brand is a bit less expensive but our preference is Vital Proteins since we feel it has less of a scent and dissolves better than the other.
