Indulge in decadent chocolate toffee bars with only 4 ingredients that come together quickly! These easy homemade candy bars have a buttery crust topped with rich chocolate and toffee for the perfect sweet and salty treat. So simple to make using pantry staples yet totally irresistible.
In a saucepan, melt together 1/3 cup of butter and 1/3 cup of brown sugar.
Let the mixture boil together for a minute after it has melted.
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and remaining butter and brown sugar. It helps if you melt the butter.
Press the flour mixture into the bottom of a shallow baking pan with sides. You don't need to grease the pan.
Pour the toffee mixture on top. Bake at 325F for 15 minutes.
Remove and add a handful of chocolate chips to the top. I add about 1/2 cup. You can add more or less depending on your tastes.
Give the chocolate a minute or two to melt and then spread over the bars. Cool and enjoy!
