There’s something comforting about having a shelf full of homemade mixes — simple little jars that make everyday baking quicker, cheaper, and just a bit cozier.

Today, I’m sharing four of my favorite fall mixes that you can make ahead and keep on hand. Each one uses real ingredients, stores beautifully, and fills your home with the scents of autumn.

pumpkin muffins

🎃 Pumpkin Muffin Mix

When the mornings turn crisp and you want something warm and sweet with your coffee, this Pumpkin Muffin Mix is a must-have. It’s simple, fragrant, and tastes like fall in a jar.

Ingredients for the Dry Mix

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

To Make
Add 4 eggs, 1 cup vegetable oil, and 2 cups pumpkin puree.
Bake at 350°F for 18–22 minutes for muffins or 50–60 minutes for a loaf. This recipe makes 2 loaves of bread or 24 muffins.

Tip: These make a great gift — layer the dry ingredients in a jar and tie with twine and a little tag with the directions.

  1. Are you able to cut the ingredients in half to make 12 pumpkins muffins?
I have small family and no freezer space.

    1. I like to use quart size jars for mixes unless I double or triple the batch and then I use a half gallon. A leftover spaghetti sauce or pickle jar will work too!

      1. Thank you so much! Getting ready to order some jars from Azure. I have a family of six so I will use half gallon. I love baking this time of year. God bless you.
