In our home, we love potatoes for meals and side dishes because they are so frugal AND because they are so easy to store! In late fall each year, I place quite a few pounds of our favorites (yukon gold potatoes!) in our root cellar so that way we always have potatoes through the winter.
And in the winter, I’m not sure that there is anything more delicious or comforting than a yummy potato meal!
