Chocolate Covered Grapes Recipe
Chocolate Covered Grapes Recipe
Are you looking for a simple summertime treat that will help to quench your chocolate craving while also getting a delicious dose of fruit? Today I’m sharing with you one of my new favorite treats, this Chocolate Covered Grapes recipe with California grapes!
I know what you might be thinking because my hubby had the same reaction…Chocolate Covered Grapes…really? Just think Chocolate Covered Raisins but with a sweeter, fresh burst of flavor in the center, plus all the nutrition you’d expect from grapes. Yum!
I love this recipe because it’s incredibly simple, it only takes about 5 minutes to make and you only need 2 ingredients. Ready to get started?
Chocolate Covered Grapes Recipe
What You Need:
- 1/2 cup fresh California Grapes (I used red, but I think green or black would work!)
- 1/4 cup Chocolate Chips (I used a semi-sweet)
Start by rinising your grapes.
If your grapes were refrigerated (and they should be kept in the fridge normally because they will last the longest when stored that way), you will want to let them set on the counter for a little while after rinsing them so that they come to room temperature. If you use them cold they may “sweat” and your chocolate won’t stay on as well.
Once your grapes are at room temperature, melt your chocolate chips. Stir them until they are smooth and creamy.
Using a fork, dip each grape into the chocolate and coat it well. Let the excess drip off of the grape and place it on a cookie sheet or baking pan that has been covered with parchment paper.
Place the grapes in the fridge for a few minutes to harden the chocolate and then enjoy! Of course, you can double or triple (or even quadruple!) this recipe if you need a bigger snack or if you are serving a crowd.
Did you know that one serving of grapes, a ¾ cup, is a natural source of beneficial antioxidants and other polyphenols. So satisfy your sweet tooth with this recipe, guilt-free!
