Inexpensive Valentine’s Day Goodie Bags

by Merissa on February 8, 2011

I wanted to put together some fun, but inexpensive goodie bags for my younger siblings for Valentine's Day. I've been adding a few little things here and there to my "holiday stockpile" as fillers at Walgreens. Here's a picture of what I pulled together for these gift bags. The cups were 6/$1, the bags were 4/$1, the cards were free at Safeway, the candy was super cheap from after holiday sales, the Sweethearts candy was 2/$1, the gum was .33 each, and the Tic Tacs were free from a while back at Target.

First I put some of the smaller candy in a sheet of tissue paper. I like to stock up on super cheap tissue paper after Christmas.

Then I put the tissue paper with the candy in the cup.

And tied it with a piece of leftover Christmas ribbon.

Then I put the cups in the bag and added the card and the rest of the goodies.

I folded over the top of the bags and tied them shut with another bow from leftover Christmas ribbon. That's all!
