Freezer Cheesy Chicken Crescents
I like recipes that are simple, from scratch, and versatile. I’m always looking for something that I can easily make and throw the extras in the freezer to pull out for quick meals and lunches at a later date. These Cheesy Chicken Crescent Rolls are a real tummy pleaser and time saver! I mixed up a double batch of them so I could put some away in the freezer for fast lunches this week.
Cheesy Chicken Crescents Recipe
What you need:
- 1 lb cooked, shredded chicken
- 1 1/2 c. shredded cheese (I used cheddar)
- 8oz cream cheese
- Crescents
Mix together the softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, and chicken.
Place a nice serving size on the large end of your crescent dough. Can you make these smaller so they don’t explode in the oven? Sure 😉

Roll up from the large end to the small end, tucking the small end under.
Pinch the side of the crescent shut. If you added a big dollop of mixture like I did, it still might pop open anyways. Oh well! Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350F for 20 minutes or until slightly brown on the top.
After you take them out of the oven you can brush butter over the tops to they stay soft.
Oh. My. Yum.
These make a great freezer meal! Just let them cool down and then load into a freezer bag. When you are ready to eat on, you can just pop it in the toaster oven or the microwave to warm it up!

Have you made Cheesy Chicken Crescent Rolls before?

These look good, Meriss…..I am going to have to try them. I will try the cresscent roll mix using whole wheat or spelt, though. I am going to use up some canned chicken that I have and give these a try. I am assuming that your dough was ok the day that you were worried about it. Obviously, it didn’t fill your house from rising too much!! This looks like a great thing to have on hand for our quick lunches and for dad to take, also. MOM
It was ok! It really got huge but didn’t break the lid of my Bosch thankfully!
Now really, could they look any tastier, or easy to make?? I am going to try them this weekend!
these look delicious! But I just went dairy free 🙁 <—— sad
I make all kinds of crescent roll ups, (turkey, bacon , cheese yum), but now that I can't have cheese I wonder if anything will taste good in them without cheese?
Have you tried out a soy or rice cheese yet? I’ve seen these carried by co-ops and in the organic dairy sections of grocery stores….
