Frozen Hot Chocolate Recipe

For some reason, I’ve been craving this little treat for a while now. Plus I got a new blender the other day(one that does not start to smell when I use it!) and I really wanted to try it out! I saw several versions of this drink but I needed one that used things I had and was cheaper and easier to make!

I know there are probably a lot fancier recipes out there but we like to stick to the simple and easy. This recipe tastes great and is a nice quick frozen treat when you need something cold.

So here’s what I came up with.

Frozen Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Hot Chocolate Mix
  • 1 cup of whole regular milk
  • 6 ice cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients together and blend. Put in a glass, add a little whipped cream on top and that's it!

Instead of buying hot chocolate mix from the store to make this super simple recipe, you can always use homemade hot chocolate mix instead. I have a really easy to make one here: Hot Chocolate Mix

To make this recipe dairy free, simply use a whole fat coconut milk (or coconut cream) in place of the regular milk in this recipe. My homemade hot chocolate mix recipe is already dairy free.

  1. Yum! Sounds good. I recently got a new blender, too, and I'm on a frozen mocha frappuccino kick. Can't beat those frugal homemade drinks 🙂
