Roasted Almonds

Here is a simple snack that I put together for us. We loved eating all kinds of nuts for snacks and almonds are a favorite. We usually order in our nuts raw, so they have nothing on them. Here is a easy recipe for a healthy, delicious snack using almonds.

Place 1 1/2 pounds of raw almonds on a cookie sheet. Bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, in a bowl large enough for the almonds and room to stir, place 4 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1/4 t. of red pepper. When the almonds are done in the oven, transfer them to your bowl with the sauce/seasoning and mix well to coat them. Spread them back out on your cookie sheet pan while warm and sprinkle with approx. 1 t. of sea salt. Let them dry. Enjoy!

Until next time, Julie

Thanks for sharing with the Hearth and Soul blog hop! This looks yummy! I might try something similar out with sunflower seeds.
