Lemonade Cake Recipe

Summer is almost over. But before it has ended, I wanted to make a refreshing, summery treat to share with my family. We are always getting together for BBQs and picnics. What better treat to bring than this Lemonade Cake recipe?

I was not sure how this cake would turn out, but ask my family, and they will tell you how refreshing, moist, and delicious it is. Perfect for a summertime treat!

This recipe is super easy. You can always use a boxed cake mix if you are in a bind or you can make your own homemade version of yellow cake for the recipe. This Lemonade Cake recipe would be a great reason to make your own homemade yellow cake mix and keep it on hand in the pantry!

What You Need:

Lemonade Cake - Little House Living

Steps:

1. Prepare & bake the cake .
2. Let it cool for about 15 minutes.
3. Mix the lemonade concentrate with the powdered sugar.
4. With a long pronged fork, poke holes in the warm cake, spacing about 1/2 inch apart.  Loosen the cake from the sides of the pan by running a knife around the edge.
5. Pour lemonade mixture over the cake evenly.
6. Refrigerate (covered) for about 2 hours.

This Lemonade Cake recipe will be a great summertime staple to share at potlucks and parties since it's such a nice refreshing cake with good lemon flavor.

Do you have your own version of this Lemonade Cake Recipe? Do you think you will try this one? What is your favorite dessert to take to a potluck?

This looks really delicious! I love making fun flavored cakes. I bet this would be a really great way to add moisture to a gluten-free cake and keep it from going dry so quickly.
