One treat that I made for our road trip was Chicken Nuggets. We love homemade Chicken Nuggets and when I made these up I did not intend them to be for snacks but they ended up working out so well for that! They are good heated up but they also tasted just fine cold. I even mixed up a quick “dip” to have with them! These were a great protein based snack to have, especially when we couldn’t get lunch right away they really tided us over.
You can head over here to find my Chicken Nugget Recipe. Lately I’ve been adding a bit more mayo to the recipe to make them a little more moist.
Then to make the easy dip I mixed:
- 1 part sour cream (Get cultures to make your own Sour Cream here)
- 1 part mayo
- garlic powder to taste
So if you have 1/2 c. of sour cream, mix with 1/2 c. of mayo. Then add in garlic powder to your tastes. It’s something like a non dilly ranch dressing….
