November Meal Plan

Meal Planning can be time consuming, especially when you aren’t used to it and haven’t gotten into a routine for planning. Sometimes it can be hard to plan for the right time of year and around seasonal produce. (Make sure to check out this post on summer and winter meal planning.) This meal plan is a collection of 5 breakfast ideas, 5 lunch ideas, 10 supper ideas, and a few dessert ideas. It’s not a complete plan, you will need to supplement fruits and veggies and side dishes of course, but hopefully it will help get you started!

A few things before we get to the menu….

You can find a BIG list of additional recipes to add to your plan here in our Recipes From Scratch index.

You will also find lots of info on different styles of meal planning here.

And you can see my favorite method of meal planning here. It works great with a list of recipes like this!

There aren’t many in-season fruits this time of year (maybe some apples!) so it’s best to choose fruits from the freezer section to add into your breakfasts. Frozen fruits are usually picked at the peak of freshness so they may have a better flavor and nutrition than the imported fresh produce at the grocery store.

Breakfast Ideas

Buttermilk Coffee Cake
Homemade Granola
Strawberry Apple Crepes
Blueberry Muffins
Applesauce Pancakes

Most of our lunches consist of leftovers from the night before but it’s good to have a few extra ideas on hand as well in case we eat everything from the night before! Here are some yummy warm lunch ideas for this month.

Lunch Ideas

Make Ahead Beef N’ Bean Burritos
Cheesy Chicken Crescents
Crockpot Chicken and Rice Soup

I like these choices! I looked up your recipe for pigs in a blanket..they sound good. I bought some awhile back for my grandson. I got them from a well-known home delivery service. They are super expensive and reputed to have quality stuff. Well, they were right about the super expensive part. The pigs in a blanket were horrible!! He wouldn’t eat them, said the sausage tasted awful, and there was a big hollow around it. Those things still are taking up freezer space. Guess I’ll save them for when we run shy on dog food. We will try yours soon…thanks!

I love menu planning! I generally plan out one month at a time and try to buy all the freezable items in one trip. I saw your recipe for Cheeseburger Soup – I will have to try that soon! Blessings!
