My Biggest Ever Azure Order (What I got and how we use it!)

Recently I put in my biggest order ever from Azure! I haven’t shared many of our orders but I thought this one was worth sharing since it was a huge stockup on things we use the most.
If you are looking for ideas on what to order or have wondered about what you can get from Azure coop, hopefully this helps in some way!

We decided that it would be easiest for us to not have to order from Azure every month and instead, plan larger stockups instead. This is the first time trying this so we will see how things go. Besides the initial sticker shock, it feels really good to be well stocked up on the things that we use so that I don’t have to get them for at least the next 3 months. We do not typically order fresh food from Azure. You can see where I’ve been getting most of my groceries in our off grid home here.

This is going to be a long one so I’ll dive right in! Side note: we do not eat all organic or even mostly organic because of cost but we do cook from scratch, have food allergies, and eat as clean as we can.
Azure Market Navy Beans – 25lbs
A big recurring theme you will see here this year is that our family is eating more beans. We don’t mind meatless meals and honestly, we just can’t afford nearly as much meat as we used to. I’ve already stocked up on pinto beans and black beans so this is a stock up on other kinds. I will keep some dry and can some up for use in meals. We love navy beans in soups.
Azure Market Garbanzo Beans – 25lbs
Same as above! I use garbanzo beans in a yummy cauliflower warm salad and I would like to make more hummus for high-protein snacks.
Canned Green Chiles – Case of 12
We like green chilis in our nachos, bean burritos, enchiladas, and on tacos so a full case won’t last us too long since we eat all those meals often!

Azure Market Rolled Oats – 25lbs
I use these for a variety of foods such as muffins, desserts, snacks, and for oatmeal for breakfast.
Azure Market Garlic Granules – 3lbs
We use a LOT of these in most meals that we make so I stocked up on them this time.
Azure Market Onion Powder – 3lbs
Same with these. I usually have fresh onions on hand that I put in meals but I still seem to always add extra onion powder anyway.

Glass Gallon Jars – 4 pack (x2)
Before we moved I (stupidly) got rid of all of my gallon jars thinking I was going to do something else next time. So now I get to buy them again! I use these for storing things like flours in the kitchen so I don’t have to always scoop from the 5 gallon bucket.
Metal Lids for Gallon Jars (x2)
The metal lids for those jars must be bought separately. Don’t forget them if you order them!

Canned Sliced Black Olives – Case of 24
This is a large amount of sliced olives but it’s the size of the case so we will be stocked up for a while. It’s a little cheaper to get whole olives but they come in a larger can and we don’t use that many at a time so these smaller cans save time and food waste. We use olives on pizza and nachos or tacos.
Azure Market French Cut Canned Green Beans – Case of 12 (x2)
Since I haven’t canned my own in a while, we’ve been out of them for a while! My family prefers the French cut so we’ve been ordering them by the case from Azure. We typically just serve these as a side dish. Two cans will be enough for my family for one meal. According to my Price Book, these are cheaper at Walmart but we don’t like the Walmart ones, they are very stringy.
Azure Market Yellow Popcorn – 5lbs
I bought my husband a Stovetop Popcorn Popper for Christmas so we needed to stock up on popcorn to make snacks! I don’t buy much at once because old popcorn doesn’t pop very well. This will be enough to get us through a few months.
This is for making homemade cornbread which we like as a side dish or for dusting the bottoms of breads and english muffins.

Azure Market Corn Masa Flour – 5lbs
This flour is for making homemade corn tortillas. We usually make flour tortillas but it will be nice to have this one hand to change it up once in a while.
I used to have one of these but it got lost in the shuffle I think! I use this for buttering the tops of breads and buns when they come out of the oven. Azure has a whole line of Norpro things and we like the items that we’ve gotten.
Azure Market Wheat Bran – 4lbs
This is a new one for me but I have a new homemade cereal recipe I want to put together. It was on sale so it’s worth a shot.
Azure Market Canned Coconut Milk – Case of 12 (x2)
This is one of my most frequently ordered items! It’s so hard to find clean, inexpensive coconut milk. While I will say that Azure’s coconut milk is not as smooth as some other brands, it usually still does the trick. We use this in soup, to make dairy-free yogurt, and anything else I need “milk” in since I’m dairy free.
DeCasa Yellow Tortilla Chips – Case of 12
We tried these last year and my family got hooked! It’s one thing that I can get cheaper elsewhere but my family loves this brand so much that we just get these. We use quite a bit of tortilla chips because we usually make loaded nachos every week and we are a big chips and salsa family.
Santa Cruz Lemon Juice Bottles – Case of 8
I use this for canning in recipes that call for it. I’m not sure what I need it in yet but I’m all out so I’m restocking. This should be enough for the year. I don’t usually use this in recipes as we like fresh lemon but it’s great for canning.

Knudsen Blueberry Pomegranate Juice – Case of 6
This is another new thing for us but I was looking for some fruit juices that I could use to flavor my homemade kombucha. This sounded like a really good combo.
Bionaturae Peach Nectar – Case of 6
Same with this juice, I’ll use it to flavor homemade kombucha. We used to use a lot of fresh fruit to flavor our kombucha but it’s much harder for me to keep that on hand at the cabin.
Azure Market Palm Shortening – 4lbs
I use this quite a bit in baking and probably will use more of it now that butter is so much more expensive than it used to be. I got through a tub of this in a few months.
Azure Market Quick Oats – 5lbs
We don’t use nearly as many quick oats as we do rolled oats so I only got a small bag. I will mostly use them for making Oat Bites.
Azure Market Canned Whole Corn – Case of 12
I can’t eat corn because it’s a grain but my kids really enjoy this as a side dish, especially for lunches. With this amount they can have it once a week.
Azure Market Dried Celery Stalk – 1lb
I struggle with keeping enough fresh produce on hand for the things I need since we can’t go to the store often and I decided that I’d get a pound of this dried celery again. It’s not cheap but it’s a large amount and should last for a while. We use this mostly in soups.

Azure Market Tri Color Rotini – 5lbs
This is another item that we could get cheaper elsewhere but my family really enjoyed this so I stocked up. We did not enjoy their other pastas in their new line, however. I use this for making cold pasta salad which my kids absolutely love.
I use this when I make granola and protein bites. I really like the toasted kind for the flavor but they were out so this will do for now.
Azure Market Flame Raisins – 5lbs
This is also for granola and I want to use some for making cinnamon raisin bread as well.
Azure Market Dried Diced Fruit Medley – 5lbs
I haven’t seen this before but it looked like a great addition to our granola recipe. We are looking forward to trying it.
Azure Oxygen Clean Powder – 8lbs
I’ve typically bought a different brand of this laundry powder but Azure’s is much less expensive so we will give it a try. I use this in my laundry to help take care of stains and smells.

Azure Market Organic Maple Syrup – 1 gallon
This seems to be the best price that I can find on this right now and we go through quite a bit since we love pancakes. One gallon should last us longer than 3 months. I also use this in baking occasionally.
Azure Market Crinkle French Fries – 5lbs
This was a convenience item that I wanted right now. I’ll be getting some bulk potatoes soon but until then, these will come in handy for side dishes.
Follow Your Heart Dairy Free Sour Cream
This is for me. I do have a dairy-free sour cream recipe I can make from sunflower seeds but for a bit of convenience for now, I enjoy being able to use this.
Trace Minerals Concentrace Drops
I’ve been using these for getting in my extra electrolytes. The bottle is expensive but considering it lasts 3 months, I think it’s a pretty good deal. I just add the drops into my water.
La Preferida Green Enchilada Sauce – Case of 10
We like to make enchiladas and my kids will eat red or green sauce but prefer the green. Hopefully I can can some of this later this year because it’s not super frugal to have to buy it.

Azure Market Sunflower Seeds – 5lbs
I use sunflower seeds for a ton of different things from a dairy free “sour cream” to using in our granola. This may not be enough for what we need for three months but I can re-evaluate later.
Azure Market Pumpkin Seeds – 5lbs
I mostly use these for making granola but we might also put them on a salad.
Azure Market Hemp Hearts – 1lb
One more new thing to my order. I read about using these to make a dairy-free, super healthy parmesan cheese so I’m going to give it a try.

Azure Market Canned Black Beans – Case of 12
Just wanted one more case of these until I have time and space to be able to can my own. I use black beans in many different meals like taco salad, bean dip, quesadillas, etc.
I’d like to have the option of a warm drink on some cool mornings but don’t want to add any caffeine to my diet so I’m trying this brand of decaf coffee.
One of our children has trouble turning off their mind to go to sleep and this is the only thing that works for them. We’ve found these to be better than the dropper.

Azure Market Coconut Flour – 2lb
I use this to make things like pancakes and muffins for myself since I have to be grain free. You use very little in a recipe so I didn’t need much.
Azure Market Cassava Flour – 5lbs
I also use this as a grain free flour in many recipes. We recently made empanadas with it.
Azure Market Unsweetened Carob Chips – 2lbs
I mostly use these in my homemade protein bites since I’m allergic to chocolate and don’t eat sugar. I think they are good!
Azure Market Tigernut Flour – 2lbs
This is an expensive grain free flour but I use it in place of almond flour (husband is allergic) as needed as well as using it in my protein bites.

Azure Market Instant Mashed Potatoes – 5lbs
This are a great fast way to make mashed potatoes when you are short on time. You can also add them to recipes like my Amish Cinnamon Rolls.
Azure Market White Pepper – 4oz
I wanted to try this because I’ve seen it in several recipes lately. So far I use it in my simple Egg Drop Soup.
Envirokidz Monarch Magic Cereal
I don’t usually buy cereal but needed this for a quick convenience thing after baby arrived. The kids seem to like it well enough. I like that it comes in a big bag instead of a small box like most.
Cosmic Bliss Vanilla Bean Coconut Milk Ice Cream
This is just a little treat for me. Sometimes a tired mama needs that!
Crofter’s Apricot Fruit Spread (x2)
I have a ton of canned jellies still but am out of apricot and I specifically got this to make an easy sweet and sour sauce. It’s really good and simple (and cheap to make!).
This mustard is the first one I’ve found that lists all their ingredients and uses apple cider vinegar instead of white vinegar.
Azure Market Tapioca Starch – 5lbs
I use this as a thickener when arrowroot is not appropriate. I also use it in some baking recipes.
Azure Market Apple Cider Vinegar – 1 gallon
This is so cheap from Azure! We use this daily for everything from salad dressing to making sweet and sour sauce.
Azure Market Sunflower Oil – 1 gallon
I know seed oils are getting a bad rap right now but I like to have this on hand as a “neutral flavored oil” for baking.
Azure Market Beef Gelatin – 1lb
I use this for making some recipes and making homemade gelatin. I’ve never gotten the Azure brand before so we will try it and see if we like it.
Azure Market Collagen Peptides – 2lbs
I use this for my protein bites and to add to smoothies. I’ve never tried this in the Azure brand before though so hopefully it’s good!
And that’s my order for (hopefully!) the next three months!
My grand total for that was: $1,295.01 (which includes their 8.5% shipping fee and tax)

It felt like such a huge amount but if I divide that by 3 (plus some will last longer than three months like those huge bags of beans) it seems on par with my normal Azure orders. Also note that we knew we were going to make this big order well in advance and saved extra money for several months to afford it. I typically can’t spend that much on groceries at one time.

If popcorn is not popping, fill a quart jar with popcorn and add 1-2 Tablespoons water. Shake it around every day. Popcorn needs moisture to pop.
My husband and I eat lots of popcorn and we buy it in 44# bags.
Thanks for this tip!
spend your time with your babies as needed- they grow sooo very fast- congratulations on having healthy children.
So happy to hear that your family is doing well and adjusting! Enjoy every moment! It does go by quickly! And family is priority! I look forward to your updated!
Thank you for sharing your list. I saw things I want to order.
I’m really interested in your new cereal recipe. 🙂
We are new to Azure and this was SO HELPFUL!!! I will refer back to this when I place my next order! Thank you!!
I’m glad I could help!
I just started ordering from Azure, so this was really helpful Merissa. Thank you! I appreciate you being honest and realistic in your posts. It feels like so many bloggers ignore the fact that the cost of living has really gone up and people are trying to eat and live more frugally. Thank you for not being ashamed to say that you can’t afford some things, or that you need to save up for a big grocery haul. I appreciate you!
Honestly, I do wonder how so many are able to afford all the big shopping trips…it takes us a long time to save up! But we all do as we are able 🙂 I’m glad you found this post helpful!
